A student was hospitalized for his injuries on Tuesday after five men broke into his home and assaulted him, Mt. Healthy Police said.
At around 4:30 p.m., Mt. Healthy police were called to Elizabeth Street for a reported burglary.
A student who had just arrived home from school was alone when he heard a loud crash at the back door. Police said five men entered his house, and one was armed with a gun.
The student told police the men had their faces covered with white t-shirts.
The men assaulted the student, and he required hospitalization for his injuries, police said.
The student said he saw those same men earlier in the day while walking home from school with a friend in the 7900 block of Clovernook Avenue.
During the earlier encounter, police said one of the men retrieved a gun out of a car and pointed it at the student while another one of the men hit the student several times.
