CINCINNATI (WKRC) - The Taste of Cincinnati will move to July 4th weekend due to the coronavirus pandemic. The festival is usually held on Memorial Day weekend.
To help bridge the gap, organizers are holding a Virtual Taste of Cincinnati the weekend of April 3-5.
They're asking people to continue to order food for carryout, delivery or from drive-thrus and share their dishes on social media with #VirtualTasteCincy.
From April 3 through May 3, runners who may have participated in the Eat & Run 5k, are asked to post pictures of themselves on their route and post pictures of themselves running or walking and use #VirtualEatandRunCincy.
Chefs and cooking experts from Kroger, Findlay Market and Taste of Cincinnati restaurants and food trucks will host cooking demos and recipes online.
Local breweries will host Tap-ins and will share food and beer pairings, beer history and more.
Musicians will perform live from their homes on Facebook. If viewers would like to show their support, their Venmo and PayPal accounts will be posted.
There's even a T-shirt for purchase. it was Carry Out, Carry On Cincinnati.
