NEIGHBORS TELL US AROUND 10:30 LAST NIGHT, THEY SAW A LOT OF CRIME SCENE TAPE, POLICE CARS . AND THAT WAS ON EAST MLK JUNIOR BOULEVARD. AT LEAST FIVE WERE SHOT. ONE OF THEM NOW HAS LIFE THREATENING INJURIES. THEY DO HAVE A SUSPECT IN CUSTODY. THAT SUSPECT WAS QUESTIONED AT COVINGTON POLICE HEADQUARTERS ALONG WITH A NUMBER OF WITNESSES. WE SPOKE WITH A MAN WHO LIVES IN THE AREA RIGHT HERE. HE WAS WALKING DOWN THIS STREET ABOUT A HALF HOUR AFTER THE SHOOTING HAPPENED. AND HERE’S HIS REACTION. >> THAT’S NORMAL. Five people were shot at a bar in Covington Friday.According to Kenton County dispatch, the shooting happened at 2nd Time Around bar, which is located at 217 E. Martin Luther King Blvd., just before 10 p.m.Covington police said when they arrived at the scene, they located several individuals who had been shot. A total of five victims were found suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. According to police, one of the victims may have life-threatening injuries.Police said there's "limited information" as to why the shooting occurred.Authorities have a suspect who they believe fired the shots in custody and that person is being taken to the Covington police headquarters.Anyone with information is asked to call Covington police at 859-292-2234.
