Luke Fickell and the University of Cincinnati football team are in the middle of the most successful stretch in program history.
After becoming the first Group of Five team to earn a spot in the College Football Playoff last season, Cincinnati will look to build off that momentum in 2022, starting with its season-opener Sept. 3 at Arkansas.

The Bearcats released their 2022 slate Thursday, with the opener coming against the Southeastern Conference's Razorbacks in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
It will be Cincinnati's first-ever matchup against Arkansas and its first regular-season game against a SEC opponent since traveling to Knoxville, Tennessee, in 2011 to face the Tennessee Volunteers.
Cincinnati, which holds the nation's second-longest home winning streak (27 games), will host six games at Nippert Stadium in 2022, starting with the home-opener against Kennesaw State on Sept. 10.
After facing in-state rival Miami University in the 126th Battle for the Victory Bell on Sept. 17 at Paul Brown Stadium, UC will welcome Big Ten foe Indiana on Sept. 24.
The two-time defending American Athletic Conference champion Bearcats will open AAC play Oct. 1 at Tulsa before heading back to Nippert to take on South Florida on Oct. 8. The clash with the Bulls will be Cincinnati's homecoming.
After a bye the following week, UC will end the month of October with back-to-back road games at Southern Methodist (Oct. 22) and Central Florida (Oct. 29).
Cincinnati will open November with two straight home games. The first will be against Navy on Nov. 5, followed by East Carolina traveling to Nippert for a Friday night clash on Nov. 11.
The Bearcats will head to Temple on Nov. 19 and then close out its regular season against Tulane on Nov. 26. Senior day against the Green Wave could be moved to Friday, Nov. 25.
The AAC championship game will be on Dec. 3.
