Cincinnati Bearcats announce 2022 football schedule


The Cincinnati Bearcats just announced their 2022 football schedule.The season includes a home game against Indiana, a game at Paul Brown Stadium, a season-opening game at Arkansas and back-to-back road games at SMU and UCF. The Bearcats will also unofficially kick off the 2022 season with the annual Spring Game on April 9 at Nippert Stadium. The time has not been released yet. UC's bye weekend will be Oct. 15.The Bearcats will host six games at Nippert Stadium starting with a home opener against Kennesaw State on Sept. 10.The team will host its Big Ten opponent, Indiana on Sept. 24.Desmond Ridder threw two touchdown passes and ran for another in the final 30 minutes, helping No. 8 Cincinnati rally for a critical 38-24 victory at Indiana last season.UC's homecoming will be on Oct. 8 against USF.The team will end the regular season with a game against Tulane on Nov. 25 or 26. The Redhawks will serve as the hosts for this season's annual rivalry series, which is tied 59-59-7 all-time.Cincinnati will start AAC play at Tulsa on Oct. 1 and square off at SMU (Oct. 22) and UCF (Oct. 29) on consecutive weekends following a bye. The Bearcats' final road trip of the regular season comes at Temple (Nov. 19).The American Athletic Conference championship will be on Dec. 3.
