I really enjoy trying the local foods wherever I travel. Today, my subscriber Todd brought me a Cincinnati-area food known as Goetta. I had never heard of goetta and I there I was griddling it up a few minutes later! Join me around the Blackstone Griddle at the Crescent Springs (Cincinnati-area), Kentucky Field & Stream Store. Get your goetta on!

It was a real pleasure to meet you in person Todd! Through your story, you’re an inspiring person!
Pennsylvania Scrapple equivalent?
Never heard of that before. Looked sort of like breakfast sausage with a lighter color and texture. Nice crust on those ??
Gotta get some Goetta. Never heard of it but it's been blessed by Todd so it must be good. Thanks for introducing us to Goetta.
I was the same way when I first moved to Florence KY. It’s also good on hamburgers and with syrup.
gota get some goetta
You GOTTA GETTA yourself some GOETTA
Luv my Blackstone grill, but their customer service department really SUCKS!!!
German breakfast sausage with spices and steel cut oats,Glier's Goetta,is the one to buy, heck we even have an annual Goettafest. If you are looking for something different to have with breakfast then Goetta it great if you can find it.The real test is can you make Cincinnati Chili on the Blackstone?
Does anyone know if this is the same thing as kunip? I know I might not be spelling that right, but my parents made kunip back on the farm, & it had those same ingredients.
Never heard of that, but it sure looked like a fun part of the day! These videos are great. Have a good one Todd.
Do you ever come to Canada? For years I have used a Weber charcoal BBQ and love it, but we moved and you can only have a propane BBQ and don't really care for cooking on those. Can't find any stores here in Ontario that have them in stock. Want to purchase the 28 inch for the balcony. I checked and Walmart in Canada don't have them. Any help be great, thanks!
Todd, if you like goetta you gotta come to Shelby, NC for our livermush fest. It's the NC/German equivalent to goetta. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a49aaqn_Zjo
I love me some ghetto I am a Cincinnati boy too one of your biggest fans love your videos wish I knew you was that Close I would have like to see you in action?????????????????
So could you just griddle it up and make a meatloaf gravy or tomatoe topping and serve it that way? By the way that Field and Stream store looks cool. Is it like Cabelas?
Well I LOATHE CINCY ON A NORNAL BASIS, HOWEVER…THE FOLKS YOU SPENT TIME WITH AT FIELD AND STREAM WERE INTERESTING AND INTRODUCED THE WORLD TO "GOETTA" I am excited to give it a try!!
I lived in Germany for 12 years and I never heard of Goetta
OMG I LOVE GOETTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I like mine thinner but it's awesome either way.
Are you planning a return trip to the Northern Kentucky / Cincinnati area anytime soon?
2 hours north of Cincinnati in Mercer County, it is known as grits. Multiple IGA stores and meat shops carry it. Grew up eating it for breakfast, one of my favorite foods.
Goetta ….is like boudan in Louisiana…i like goetta better
once you eat it you gotta get a doctor
