Fenwick boys volleyball head coach Pete Ehrlich died Tuesday morning, according to the school.
Ehrlich continued to lead the Falcons even after being diagnosed in 2019 with Lou Gehrig's disease, also called amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
A school tweet shared a statement from Ehrlich's wife, Jamie: "Lost my precious husband this morning. He is free from the chains of ALS. He will be greatly missed. Life well lived. As he told his players 'I have great hope. I will be dancing, singing and playing volleyball again. There is great hope in Jesus!'"
