The Cincinnati Bearcat football team enters its fifth game of the season on a bit of high.
After beating Notre Dame on Oct. 2 in South Bend, the Bearcats are ranked No. 5 in the AP poll and No. 6 in the USA TODAY Sports AFCA football coaches poll.
But the 2021 season changes this week and it does so a day early. The Bearcats host American Athletic Conference foe Temple 7p.m. Friday at Nippert Stadium.
It’s the first AAC game of the season for the Bearcats as they look to defend their 2020 conference championship. It's also the first conference game the Bearcats have played since announcing their future move to the Big 12 Conference.
Temple enters the game 3-2 on the season and 1-0 in the AAC after beating Memphis 34-31 last week.
