Johnny Bench pays tribute in video to Hall of Famers who died

Hall of Famer and former Cincinnati Reds great Johnny Bench narrated and appeared in an MLB Network video shown during Wednesday's enshrinement at the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown as a tribute to legends lost over the past two years.

Former Reds players Barry Larkin (11) and Johnny Bench embrace after drawing an 8 in the sand for Joe Morgan before the Reds Legends softball game between Team Bench and Team Larkin involving former Reds players as part of the 2021 Reds Hall of Fame induction ceremony for Marty Brennaman on Friday, Aug. 27, 2021, at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati.

Bench announced last week via Twitter that he tested positive for COVID-19 and would not be able to attend the induction ceremony.

The video Bench narrated from YouTube:

Fellow Hall of Famer and former Big Red Machine great Joe Morgan was among those remembered in the video. Bench said of Morgan - as he's said previously - that Morgan was "the best ballplayer" he played with or saw.
