Hamilton County residents can now get $100 for the shot

District Leaders at CVS Health Jennifer Rudell and Rob Muse go through CVS' process to recieve vaccinations for both COVID-19 and flu shots. Muse recieves a flu shot.

If you are unvaccinated against COVID-19 in Hamilton County, you can now earn $100 to get vaccinated.

With 54% of Hamilton County's residents having gotten at least one dose, the county health department started last week paying people to get the shot.

Those who get their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at any one of the clinics operated by the health department will receive a $100 Visa gift card. Many of the health department's clinics move throughout the county and are listed on their website

The cards are also available for people that get vaccinated on the county-operated bus that operates as a mobile clinic.

If this program is successful in convincing people to get vaccinated, Hamilton County commissioners may add to the program with federal stimulus dollars.
