The Kentucky High School Girls Soccer Coaches Association released its all-state teams, with several Northern Kentucky players being honored.
Notre Dame Academy enjoyed four honorees as the Pandas head into the state semifinals on Thursday and try to win the state championship.
Senior Natalie Bain was named the East Player of the year and senior Macie Feldman was runner-up in the player of the year voting. The association divides the state into East for Regions 9-16 and West for Regions 1-8.
Bain, a Xavier University commit, was also named the Ninth Region Defensive Player of the Year and leads the back line of a Pandas defense that has allowed only four goals all season.
Feldman leads the offense with 18 goals and 21 assists.
Senior Emma Spivey, also a leader on the back line, was also named first team all-state. She is an Eastern Kentucky University commit. Senior Eleanor Simkonis was honorable mention. The Cleveland State commit has 16 goals and six assists this season.
NDA is also led by junior Xavier commit Kennedy Clark (13 goals, 12 assists) and Wright State commit Marina Ruthsatz (17 goals, 10 assists).
The Pandas, 26-0-1 overall, play West Jessamine (16-6-1) in the semifinals 7 p.m. Thursday at Frederick Douglass High School in Lexington. The winner plays in the finals, 7 p.m. Saturday, against South Oldham (22-2) or Henderson County (19-6). NDA is ranked first in Kentucky in the Maher rankings and South Oldham second.
