A search is under way for a missing Kentucky man at Grand Canyon National Park, according to the National Park Service.
John Pennington, 40 of Walton, Kentucky, was last known to be on the south rim of the Grand Canyon near Yaki Point, Park Service officials said in a news release.
Pennington's vehicle was found abandoned at Yaki Point on or around Feb. 23, and Park Service officials say he is believed to be traveling alone. He may be currently riding a yellow 2005 Suzuki GSX-R600 motorcycle with Ohio plates, the release stated.
Officials described Pennington as a white man, 5 feet, 11 inches tall, weighing 165 pounds, with hazel eyes and brown hair.
A missing persons investigation is ongoing. Officials did not release any additional information.
