MLB.com columnist Will Leitch aroused the ire of Cincinnati Reds fans with Twitter accounts by stating in his article earlier this week ranking 2021 All-Star Game starter finalists, "Do we need two Reds in the outfield? We do not."

The Reds' official account disagreed with Leitch's take suggesting Jesse Winker and Nick Castellanos - who both entered Wednesday among the top three in the National League in batting average - aren't worthy of All-Star starts:
Some of the replies to the Reds' tweet were amusing:
Winker and Castellanos have received support via social media this week from the Bengals, FC Cincinnati, the Cincinnati Bearcats, the Xavier Musketeers and others.
And Winker's All-Star voting drive got a boost Wednesday from the NFL's Buffalo Bills and former Elder High School standout Eric Wood.
