In a vote that ended April 23, Cincinnati.com readers selected winners for the Cincinnati Enquirer Athlete of the Week, presented by Mercy Health, for the April 12-18 voting period.
Winners will receive a certificate sent through the school's athletic department. They are sent one month at a time.

You do not have to be a subscriber to vote, a period that lasts Monday evenings to 5 p.m. each Friday during the season. Please submit any nominees by Sunday evening for the previous week's performances to [email protected].
This week's winners are:
Ohio boys team: Oak Hills baseball – They are tied for first in the GMC after beating the topped-ranked team in Ohio, Beavercreek, by a 6-2 score.
Ohio girls team: Oak Hills softball – Oak Hills won four games over the week, including two conference wins and a doubleheader sweep against Harrison and Boone County on April 17.
Northern Kentucky/Indiana boys team: Campbell County baseball – The Camels tied the state-ranked Covington Catholic team after 9 innings, then won the next three games over Bellevue, Cooper and Ryle.
Northern Kentucky/Indiana girls team: Campbell County softball – The Camels went 2-0 including a win over district rival Bishop Brossart.
Ohio baseball, big school: Blake Erksine, Oak Hills - The senior threw a no-hitter against Princeton April 12. Blake threw 93 pitches in the 5-0 shutout victory that propelled Oak Hills to the Greater Miami Conference lead.
Ohio baseball, small school: Logan Nash, Purcell Marian - The junior left-handed pitcher threw a 7-inning complete game victory 7-1 against Taylor April 17. He had (12) strikeouts and only gave up (1) run and (1) hit.
Northern Kentucky/Indiana baseball: Aydan Hamilton, Campbell County – The sophomore hit his first varsity home run April 15 against Cooper, driving in three, stealing a base and scoring three runs. He had two hits and two steals in Campbell’s comeback win, 10-8 on April 17.
Ohio softball, big school: Lauren Holt, Little Miami – The junior was 12-for-16 last week, helping Little Miami to 4 wins and 2 losses in the span. She had 12 RBI, 2 triples and 2 home runs on the week, helping her be third in the Eastern Cincinnati Conference in batting average (.634) and tied for second in home runs.
Ohio softball, small school: Ava Bell, Ross – Over a four-game winning streak last week, the junior went 8-for-13 with three doubles, a triple and 7 RBI.
Boys lacrosse: Zach Mulligan, Loveland - The junior scored five goals to go with a pair of assists in Loveland’s victory over Little Miami.
Tennis, singles: Andrew Vass, Lakota East – He got first-singles wins over Milford, Hamilton and Moeller, leading the Thunderhawks to team wins as well.
Tennis, doubles: Kalei Christensen and Alex Yeager, Holy Cross – The duo got a big win over Highlands’ No. 1 doubles team of John Laskey and Eli Back, 7-6 (3), 6-2 on April 14. They also each had singles-match wins earlier in the week.
Northern Kentucky boys track: Zane Perry, Walton-Verona – He won the 100- and 200-meter races, and helped the 4x200 relay win at a Bearcats meet.
Northern Kentucky girls track: Michaela Summe, Notre Dame – The senior won the 300-meter hurdles at the Walton-Verona Clash.
Ohio boys track: Henry Hoblitzell, Talawanda - The sophomore won the pole vault Friday at the Greg Zuleger Harrison Invitational in a jump-off tie-breaker clearing 13'6".
Ohio girls track: Miya Brines, Loveland – Brines finished well at the Mount Healthy Classic, winning the 200-meter dash, the 100-meter hurdles and the long jump with a second-place finish in the high jump.
Water polo: Oscar Haverkamp, St. Xavier – The junior scored two goals in the 20-10 win over Sycamore April 13.
Boys volleyball: Ethan Hale, West Clermont - Ethan had a combined 21 kills and four blocks this week. He helped the Wolves secure their victory against Milford with 13 kills and two blocks. Six of those kills came in the fifth set.
