Long-suffering Bengals fans have had plenty of surreal moments since Sunday's come-from-behind win against the Chiefs in Kansas City in the AFC Championship to advance to Super Bowl LVI.
And Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson tweeting about Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow might qualify.
Many had compared Burrow's post-game look Sunday - wearing a black turtleneck and "JB9" diamond necklace - to an old photo of the star actor and former professional wrestler, who played football for the University of Miami Hurricanes from 1990 to 1994.
Johnson tweet, which contains NSFW language:
Burrow remarked after Sunday's game that the football part of his success isn't surreal, but the praise he's received from Kid Cudi, LeBron James and others is.
"I wouldn't call (reaching the Super Bowl) surreal. I would say it's exciting," Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow said of the win against the Chiefs. "The situation that I'm in socially doesn't really feel real to me. Because, you know, in my head I'm just the same ol' guy. One of my idols growing up, Kid Cudi, reached out to me yesterday. You have LeBron tweeting at me or whatever ... that part is surreal. The football part - not so much. That (other) stuff is crazy."
Add "The Rock" to that list. Oh, and Tom Brady.
In Aug. 2020, Cincinnati Bearcats offensive lineman John Williams got a shout-out on Twitter from Johnson after the UC football team's account asked whether Williams looks like "The Rock." Johnson said he saw the resemblance, adding that he's impressed with Williams' aerospace engineering major and wishing Williams well.
