Except for one game this Saturday night, district seeding games are completed for Northern Kentucky football squads.
The playoff pairings for many local teams are not set yet because of three-way ties in the district standings. Those ties will be broken by the Ratings Percentage Index computer rankings, which are in flux and will change after the games of Week 11.
Here is a look at the current projected pairings.
1A, District 4: Bellevue (1-8) at Newport Central Catholic (7-2), Dayton (4-5) at Ludlow (3-6).
1A, District 5: Paris (3-6) at Bishop Brossart (10-0), Bracken County (4-5) at Nicholas County (6-4).
2A, District 5: Owen County (3-7) at Walton-Verona (7-3), Gallatin County (3-5) at Carroll County (6-4).
2A, District 6: Beechwood (10-0) is the top seed. Lloyd Memorial (3-6), Newport (2-7) and Holy Cross (2-7) are tied for the second seed. The four seed will play at Beechwood, while the other two will play each other at the stadium of the two seed.
Holy Cross will play at Ludlow (3-6) next week. Lloyd currently does not have a 10th game scheduled after Evangel Christian canceled earlier in the season. Newport will play at Pendleton County (1-8).
The RPI numbers are tight among the trio. Lloyd is sitting at .474, Holy Cross .449 and Newport .447.
4A, District 6: Harrison County (2-8) is the four seed. Holmes (7-2), Scott (6-3) and Rowan County (6-3) tied for the top seed at 3-1. The top seed will host Harrison County and the other two will play each other at the stadium of the two seed.
Rowan leads the group in RPI at .568. Holmes is right behind at .559 and Scott is .523. Rowan hosts Montgomery County (4-5) this week. Holmes goes to Bellevue (1-8) and Scott plays at Dixie Heights (5-4).
5A, District 5: Covington Catholic (6-3) won the top seed at 4-0. Cooper (6-3), Conner (5-4) and Highlands (5-5) all finished tied for second in the district at 2-2. The four seed will play at Covington Catholic and the other two will play each other at the stadium of the two seed.
Cooper leads the trio in RPI with .562. Conner has .520 and Highlands .518.
Cooper plays at Butler (1-8), Conner hosts George Rogers Clark (2-7) and Highlands has a bye week.
6A, District 6: District play concludes tonight when Ryle (6-2, 2-0) hosts Simon Kenton (2-6, 1-1).
Campbell County (1-8, 0-3) is the four seed. If Ryle beats SK, the Raiders will be the top seed and host Campbell County. Dixie Heights will be the two seed and host SK.
If SK beats Ryle, there will be a three-way tie for the top seed. Ryle currently has the top RPI in the group at .577. Dixie has .518 and SK .462 but those numbers would get closer together with the win by SK.
