Former Cincinnati Bengals defensive back Mackensie Alexander of the Minnesota Vikings had a would-be interception bounce off of his facemask and into the arms of Bengals receiver Tyler Boyd, prolonging Cincinnati's scoring drive early in the third quarter Sunday at Paul Brown Stadium.
"What a catch! Looked like it was gonna be intercepted! Tyler Boyd ended up with it!" FOX play-by-play commentator Chris Myers said.
"Things are going your way, they're just going your way," color analyst Daryl Johnston said. "Right now, Cincinnati is on a roll - they're getting all the breaks."
Boyd's five-yard catch came on 3rd down, and the Bengals picked up the first down on a 4th-and-short on a quarterback sneak by Joe Burrow on the next play.
Alexander appeared in 13 games for the Bengals last season, making 10 starts. He played his first four NFL seasons for the Vikings and returned to Minnesota during the offseason.

Another former Bengal, Nick Vigil, had a big play during the first half of the game, sacking Burrow for the first time since Burrow's season-ending knee injury in 2020.
