To determine the rankings, Move.com looked at the 100 most populous cities in the U.S., according to data from the U.S. Census Bureau, and compared the city's population to the number of breweries it has.
Brewery numbers were sourced from Open Brewery DB, a community-driven database that gathers public information about breweries. A brewery's output, quality or popularity of beers did not factor into rankings.
