An air quality alert has been issued for Tuesday in "anticipation of elevated ozone concentrations," according to the Southwest Ohio Air Quality Agency.
The alert covers Butler, Clermont, Hamilton and Warren counties in Ohio; Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties in Kentucky and Dearborn County in Indiana.
During an air quality alert, the agency recommends that active children and adults and people with respiratory diseases such as asthma should avoid outdoor exertion. Everyone else, especially children, should limit outdoor exertion.

Tuesday: Sunny with a high near 96 and heat index values as high as 103, according to the National Weather Service.
Wednesday: Sunny and hot, high near 97 and heat index values as high as 102. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon.
Thursday: Mostly sunny, high near 92. A chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly after 1 p.m.
Friday: Mostly sunny, high near 92. A chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon.
Saturday: Sunny, high near 93.
