Sheriff Richard Jones stood Friday behind piles of boxes allegedly filled in THC vapes, a table full of guns, sacks of mushrooms and bags of candy edibles.
"This isn't all of it," Jones said.
It wouldn't have all fit in the room.
Jones said it was one of the biggest drug seizures in the region's history and, by far, the biggest for the Butler County drug task force.
On Wednesday, the task force received intelligence of possible drug activity in Fairfield Township near Ross Township, Jones said.
Agents began surveillance on a property in the 2600 block of Hamilton Cleves Road and saw a Penske rental truck leave, officials said.
Jones said the truck was stopped and a drug dog alerted the agents to narcotics inside.
The agents reported finding 30 large cardboard boxes with 75,000 THC vape cartridges in boxes labeled "Innocent," 40 pounds of psychedelic mushrooms and sacks full of THC edibles packaged as candy.
Some of the edibles were labeled "Pot Rocks" and appeared to have branding and names similar to regular candy and snacks.
Guns and money were located after a search warrant was executed, Jones said.
The driver of the truck, Michael Morales, 22, was arrested Wednesday and charged with felony drug trafficking and felony drug possession.
Jones said there will likely be additional arrests.
"There may be more before the day is out," Jones said. Evidence is pointing to the drugs coming from the western states, Jones said, but they may have originated outside of the country.
Jones said he was shocked at the volume of drugs and "well-organized" operation the agents uncovered. He held up some candy that he said was bought from a nearby store and pointed out how similar it looked to the edibles.
"If kids got into something like this, it would kill them," Jones said.
