Abdul Ado, a 6-foot-11 center from Nigeria who has played for the Mississippi State Bulldogs for the past four seasons, likely is joining the Cincinnati Bearcats as a grad transfer, according to a report late Monday via Twitter from Stadium's Jeff Goodman.
Ado recently entered the transfer portal, according to multiple reports. He averaged 5.9 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game in 33 games - all starts - last season for MSU. He's averaged 6.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game in 131 games - starting 130 of those - for the Bulldogs since 2017.
Ado scored three points and added four rebounds and a steal in 17 minutes in the Bulldogs' 70-59 win against UC in Starkville in Dec. 2018. Ado did not score but had four rebounds, four steals and three blocks in the Bearcats' 65-50 win against MSU at Bank of Kentucky Center in Dec. 2017.
Ado attended Hamilton Heights Christian Academy in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Last month, Bearcats head coach Wes Miller got a commitment from 7-foot-1 senior center Hayden Koval, who announced he would follow Miller from UNC Greensboro.
