On March 30, the NFL announced its first change to the season structure since 1978. Each NFL team is scheduled to play 17 regular-season games and three preseason games for the first time.
The regular season is set to kick off on Thursday, Sept. 9, with the regular season running through Jan. 9, 2022. Super Bowl LVI is scheduled to be played on Feb. 13, 2022, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
