Xavier has 3 players named to All-Big East Conference teams

The Big East Conference released its 2020-21 all-conference teams Sunday as selected by the coaches. 

Xavier had three players recognized with all-conference honors. 

Senior Paul Scruggs, who led the conference in assists per game (5.8) to go with 14.2 points, was named second-team All-Big East. 

Scruggs was joined on second-team by sophomore teammate Zach Freemantle, who led Xavier in scoring (16.3) and led the Big East in rebounding (9.0). 

Colby Jones was named to the All-Big East freshman team after averaging 7.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.4 steals per game. 

Jones joins Freemantle, KyKy Tandy, Naji Marshall, Edmond Sumner and Trevon Bluiett as All-Big East freshman honorees.
