Man killed in East Price Hill shooting; second homicide of 2021

Update, 5:50 p.m.: Police have identified the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred Sunday morning in East Price Hill. 

Officials said Dontez Hollis, 25, was pronounced dead at the scene after officers responded around 11:30 a.m. to a report of a person shot outside an apartment building at the 1700 block of Grand Avenue. 

So far, no information has been released about a suspect. 

The Cincinnati Police Department's homicide unit is investigating the incident.

Previous reporting: Cincinnati police confirmed that a man was killed in a shooting in East Price Hill on Sunday. 

The victim, identified as a male in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene following a shooting near an apartment building at the 1700 block of Grand Avenue, officials said. 

Police said that the department's homicide unit is investigating the incident. 

This marks the city's second fatal shooting of 2021. The first occurred on Jan. 5 outside a barbershop on Brookcrest Drive in Roselawn.
