The 46th annual Commemorative Civil Rights March is planned for Monday morning and drivers going downtown but not attending the event should plan to take a detour.
Marchers will leave the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center at 10:30 a.m. and Cincinnati police say there will be a number of street closures to accommodate the event.
Police say the following streets will be closed from 9:30 a.m. to noon:
- Ted Berry Way will be closed between Rosa Parks Street and the Roebling Suspension Bridge
- Rosa Parks and Vine Streets will be closed between Ted Berry Way and Seventh Street.
- Freedom Way will be closed between Elm Street and Marian Spencer Way.
- Race Street will be closed between Seventh Street and Freedom Way.
- Second Street will be closed between Elm Street and Marian Spencer Way.
- Third Street will be closed between Walnut and Elm Streets.
- Fourth Street will be closed between Walnut and Elm Streets.
- Fifth Street will be closed between Race and Walnut Streets.
- Sixth Street will be closed between Walnut and Elm Streets.
Police are urging caution when driving around the event and to use an alternate route if possible.

Those looking to participate in the parade can do so a number of ways.
Marchers will gather behind the MLK banner starting at 10:15 a.m. Pandemic protocols such at wearing a mask and social distancing will be in place, according to the MLK Coalition, organizers of the event.
The Cincinnati Metro is providing "Rosa Parks Buses" that people can ride during the parade, though online registration is required due to limited seating.
Following the marchers and buses, there will also be a motorcade which lines up at Freedom Way at 10 a.m. But those looking to stay in their car during the parade must register online as well.

The march will follow a one-mile route through the city and end back at the Freedom Center.
According to the coalition's website, anyone feeling sick or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 should stay home.
