CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Don’t be surprised if you see Superman or Batman flying around Cincinnati today: The 10th annual Cincinnati Comic Expo is here.
“It’s a celebration of pulp culture and people having fun,” event co-creator Matt Bredestege said. “By having the Expo we give a one-stop shop for people looking for a multitude of things.”
Not only do you have the chance to meet some of your favorite actors and actresses, like Jodi Benson from The Little Mermaid, you can also enjoy several interactive exhibits that allow you to sit on dragons and scale fake walls.
“There’s so much pulp culture and fandoms out there and by having so many different things we can appeal to the masses of people,” Bredestege said. “They can go do their thing in this corner and somebody else can to another corner and do their thing.”
And of course, it wouldn’t be the Comic Expo without the costumes.
“Usually we have a few hundred out of the thousands that come down here that are dressed up in costumes,” Bredestege said.
The Cincinnati Comic Expo kicks off at 10 a.m. Sunday and runs until 5 p.m.
Tickets are $25 for adults and $5 for kids.
