Infielder Spencer Steer, one of three prospects the Reds acquired from the Minnesota Twins for right-handed pitcher Tyler Mahle ahead of the MLB trade deadline, impressed in his home debut Tuesday night for the Triple-A Louisville Bats.
Steer, batting second and playing second base, singled in his first at-bat and doubled in the 8th inning of Louisville's 11-3 win against Omaha. He also walked.
It was Steer's fourth multi-hit game in 11 games since joining the Bats Aug. 4. He's homered twice for Louisville.
