The Eastern Cincinnati Conference continued to make headlines on the football landscape Friday afternoon.
Just hours after Lebanon announced the hiring of Micah Faler as its next head football coach, Williamsburg High School announced that Nick Ayers, who has spent the last 10 seasons as a head football coach in the West Clermont School District, will be the Wildcats' next head coach.

Ayers was the head coach at Glen Este High School, his alma mater, for five seasons from 2012-2016, accumulating a 25-27 record with playoff appearances in both 2014 and 2015.
Ayers was named the first head coach in West Clermont history when the school was founded in 2017. He led the Wolves to a 7-4 record and a playoff berth in their inaugural season. In five seasons, Ayers was 21-29 at West Clermont, recently finishing 2-9 this fall.

Ayers will replace Chad Ward, who went 18-24 over a four-year run with the Wildcats. Last year, Ward led Williamsburg to its first winning season (7-5) since 2015 and the program's first-ever playoff win with a 17-14 first-round take down of Brookville.
