PLAYERS TO WATCH
Mika Adams-Woods
The junior guard had five assists for the third time this season to go with no turnovers in the Bearcats' 61-59 home loss to Monmouth on Saturday. Adams-Woods entered the day 19th nationally in assist-turnover ratio. The 6-foot-3, 185-pound guard also had 11 points and three steals against the Hawks. Adams-Woods has been a consistent impact player for Cincinnati this season, leading the team in assists (25, 3.6 per game) and averaging a steal a night.
Dae Dae Grant
The 6-foot-2, 185-pound Lorain native scored 22 points on 9-of-17 shooting against Western Illinois. Grant leads the team in scoring, averaging 17.8 points per game. The junior guard started all 23 games for the RedHawks as a sophomore last season, earning third-team All-Mid-American Conference honors.
KEY TO THE GAME
Slow down
Miami is a guard-driven team that likes to use its speed to wear teams down. Cincinnati can't get into a foot race with the RedHawks. The Bearcats need to slow down and use their size to dominate Miami inside. Cincinnati needs to swarm defensively and its shot-blockers need to meet Grant and company at the rim in order for the Bearcats to avoid their third straight loss.
