A man is in the hospital in critical condition after being hit by a car in North Avondale Wednesday.It happened around 6:04 p.m. when a 74-year-old man walked off the sidewalk into the road and was hit by a car.The man was taken to the hospital where he is being treated and listed in critical condition.Excessive speed does not appear to be a factor in the crash. Impairment as a factor is yet to be determined.
