Northern Kentucky high school football playoffs

Except for one game this Saturday night, district seeding games are completed for Northern Kentucky football squads.

The playoff pairings for many local teams are not set yet because of three-way ties in the district standings. Those ties will be broken by the Ratings Percentage Index computer rankings, which are in flux and will change after the games of Week 11.

Here is a look at the current projected pairings.

1A, District 4: Bellevue (1-8) at Newport Central Catholic (7-2), Dayton (4-5) at Ludlow (3-6).

1A, District 5: Paris (3-6) at Bishop Brossart (10-0), Bracken County (4-5) at Nicholas County (6-4).

2A, District 5: Owen County (3-7) at Walton-Verona (7-3), Gallatin County (3-5) at Carroll County (6-4).

Scott running back Bennie Hill (25) is tackled by Holmes defenders Damarion Calloway (55) and Braidin Green (7) during their football game, Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021.

2A, District 6: Beechwood (10-0) is the top seed. Lloyd Memorial (3-6), Newport (2-7) and Holy Cross (2-7) are tied for the second seed. The four seed will play at Beechwood, while the other two will play each other at the stadium of the two seed.

Holy Cross will play at Ludlow (3-6) next week. Lloyd currently does not have a 10th game scheduled after Evangel Christian canceled earlier in the season. Newport will play at Pendleton County (1-8).
