Former Miami University RedHawks standout Brandon Brooks announced Tuesday via Twitter that he's been accepted to the Wharton MBA program at University of Pennsylvania.
In January, Brooks announced his retirement from the National Football League after 10 seasons - four with the Houston Texans and the past six as a right guard with the Philadelphia Eagles. Brooks, 32, was limited to just two games last season after suffering his second Achilles tear in three years.
From Brooks via Twitter:
Brooks, a 2019 Pro Bowl selection at guard, shared workout video in June 2019 as he returned from the first Achilles injury, which he suffered during the Eagles' NFL Playoff loss to the New Orleans Saints.
Brooks became a Super Bowl champion in Feb. 2018 with the Eagles and also was a Pro Bowl selection that season.
Brooks graduated from Miami University as part of the Class of 2011 and spoke in May 2018 at MU's spring commencement ceremony at Yager Stadium in Oxford, earning strong reviews.
