Among the videos authorities say a 39-year-old Loveland High School employee possessed was one showing "a man raping a 3-month-old" girl, according to court documents.
Michael Milesky was interviewed Friday at the high school and subsequently arrested, officials said.
Milesky, of Colerain Township, faces five child pornography counts, each involving a different video.
Milesky worked for Loveland schools as an education paraprofessional for more than eight years, according to his LinkedIn profile. He also worked as an assistant football coach at the high school between 2015 and 2018. In 2015, he was an assistant softball coach at Mount Notre Dame High School, the profile says.
He was fired Friday, as soon as the district learned about the charges, Loveland schools Superintendent Mike Broadwater said in a statement to parents posted on the district's website.
Broadwater said authorities had assured the district that Milesky's "actions took place off school grounds" and don't involve any of the district's students.
"The district has been in contact with the families of students who worked most closely with this individual to offer them support and resources," his statement said.
The investigation began in September after a nationwide task force run by the FBI, which looks for child internet predators, forwarded a complaint to a local task force that includes investigators from the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office as well as Cincinnati police.
Milesky is scheduled to be arraigned Saturday in Hamilton County Municipal Court. He is being held at the county jail. He did not have an attorney listed Friday in court records.
