A man accused of shooting and killing a woman in Warren County made his first court appearance on Tuesday.According to prosecutors, Elijah Thomas, 26, shot and killed 23-year-old Katelyn Puckett early Saturday morning in Franklin.Thomas was taken into custody Saturday morning at a traffic stop in Franklin.Thomas was charged with murder and felonious assault as Puckett's mother told the judge that she fears for her family's safety."We're all scared to death. This happened right in front of us. I watched my daughter take her last breath. And it's very, very hard. He snuck up behind us. We didn't know he was there. The harassment had been going on all day. The threats had been going on for two weeks. It's hard. It's really hard," Puckett's mother said.The mother added that Thomas posted to social media saying someone was going to die that night.She asked the judge for a high bond. It was set at $1 million.A preliminary hearing for Thomas is set for June 27.
