Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, a former Cincinnati Bearcats standout, is expected to play in Sunday's AFC Championship rematch with the Bengals at Kansas City's Arrowhead Stadium, according to a report late Saturday via Twitter from ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Kelce and wide receivers Mecole Hardman and Justin Watson are listed as questionable for Sunday's game. Schefter added in his tweet that Kelce experienced back spasms during practice. NFL Network's James Palmer tweeted that Kelce was dealing with the back spasms Thursday and Friday, but "things went well" Saturday.
Kelce fumbled during the fourth quarter of the Chiefs' 27-24 loss in December to the Bengals. He discussed the fumble on his podcast without mentioning Bengals linebacker Germaine Pratt, who stripped the ball and caused the turnover.
Kelce had 56 receiving yards on four catches in the December meeting. In last year's AFC title game, he had 10 receptions for 95 yards with a touchdown.
