A 5-year-old girl was hospitalized Thursday afternoon after she was struck by a vehicle at an intersection near Winton Woods High School, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.
Officials said the crash happened around 1 p.m. in the 1200 block of West Kemper Road in Forest Park.
The girl was taken to the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries, the sheriff's office said.
Officials said there have so far been no charges filed in the incident, adding speed, impairment and distracted driving don't appear to have played a role in the crash.
The Forest Park Police Department has requested the assistance of the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office traffic safety unit, officials said.
