According to officials, work will begin at 9 p.m. on Sunday, May 14 when crews close the left two lanes on eastbound I-275 near the U.S. 25/Dixie Highway overpass. All lanes on the ramp from northbound I-71/75 to eastbound I-275 will remain open during construction, and the left two lanes of the interstate following the ramp will be closed. Officials say this traffic pattern will be in place until Saturday, May 20, when crews impart a traffic switch by reopening the left two lanes and close the right two lanes. The eastbound I-275 exit ramp to Kentucky Route 1303 and Turkeyfoot Road will be closed throughout the entirety of the project. All restrictions will be lifted by Thursday, May 25 at midnight. Message boards and signage will be in place to alert motorists of upcoming road work.
