This year, St. Patrick's Day, which is Friday, March 17, marks the return of two popular traditions: green beer and March Madness.
No. 3 seed Xavier University (25-9) takes on No. 14 Kennesaw State University (26-8) in the first round of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament at 12:40 p.m. Friday in Greensboro, North Carolina. Molly Malone's in Covington is hosting a St. Paddy's Day-themed party with bagpipes, kegs and eggs, green beer, Irish entertainment on two stages and themed T-shirts for the first 100 guests. The sports bar also has several large flat screen TVs to watch the Xavier vs. Kennesaw State game.
Fifty West Brewing Co.
Enjoy green beer day and March Madness at Fifty West Brewing Co. in Columbia Township, where there will be a volleyball and pickleball tournament, bagpipers and green brews.

Green beer and Irish-themed shots will flow all day long at Braxton Brewing Co. The brewery will also host a March Madness viewing party March 16-19 with two new Storm brews in honor the NCAA Tournament.

All March First locations will serve green beer and show the Xavier vs. Kennesaw State game on St. Patrick's Day.
