The "SNL" gang tackled everything from Britney Spears' pregnancy, the resurrection of COVID cases, and even this week's Brooklyn, New York subway attack.
In the spirit of Easter weekend, Spears (portrayed by Chloe Fineman), Dr. Fauci (portrayed by Kate McKinnon), New York mayor Eric Adams (portrayed by Chris Redd), former President Donald Trump (portrayed by James Austin Johnson) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (portrayed by Cecily Strong) all shared their wishes for the holiday.
"I just pray my baby is born healthy, happy and with the power of attorney," says Spears during the "SNL" cold open sketch. "Happy Easter!"
On Monday, Spears, 40, announced she was pregnant with her first child with Sam Asghari, whom she's referred to as her "husband" in recent Instagram posts. "I am having a baby," she wrote.
"Remember six months when everyone was like, 'We need to get her out of this conservatorship.' And now you're like, 'Someone is still going to check on her right?' " Fineman's Spears said. "Well, don't worry, I'm finally free and I'm having a baby!"

Pregnancy announcements aside, Marjorie Taylor Greene showed up to give a shoutout to Russia, Jesus Christ, errr… Jared Leto, made an appearance because the real Jesus can't make it to the phone right now, and McKinnon's Dr. Fauci made a comeback.
"COVID cases are a lot like Jesus, they've risen again," Dr. Fauci jokes.
And this time around, two years deep into an ongoing pandemic, Dr. Fauci is sick and tired of relaying the same message.
"I'm not supposed to say this," McKinnon's Dr. Fauci says, "I honestly don't care what happens to you."
Lizzo is hosting tonight's episode of "SNL" and will also serve as the musical performance.
