It's so great, this is exciting, This is awesome. Good morning holiday! Welcome to Super Bowl week. It is us. Ladies and gentlemen, we have made it. This is a special time in Cincinnati and we can all feel the incredible optimism, the excitement this historic Bengals run has turned eyes from across the county, the country, the state towards our city and folks are tuning in to learn about who we are and why Cincinnati is the future here in town, fans young and old are as excited, as confident and as prideful as they've ever been about our city, our community, our county, our region, and this week we will stand together and support our team as they give us even more reason for celebration. Last week, County Commissioner Alicia Reece gave me a call and said, we've got to make this big, we've got to celebrate this region and I've had follow up conversations with Commissioner Reece with President Do Miss of course are incredible leader here. Vice Mayor Carney has been so supportive, so collaborative and today I'm joined by these local leaders to announce a full slate of Super Bowl weekend and game. They'll take game day tailgate events, giving all residents in our community the opportunity to go out and support this historic team and celebrate together as one region this weekend will be the result of extraordinary and very, very fast john London, very fast coordination between the city, the county and a dynamic slate of private partners. Groups are brought in, groups are totally bought in on working together to make this the best weekend imaginable in our city and their collaboration and passion will help make sure everyone can celebrate. There will be a diverse slate of events and zones throughout the center of our region. Starting thursday through game day, we'll have events for people of all ages. Let's start with game day. So game day at the Banks will begin at two p.m. On Super Bowl sunday and in Newport's on the levee festivities will begin at 4 30 PM. Findlay market will host an inflatable football toss at 11 a.m. On saturday and Bengals themed entertainment from 11 to 4 on sunday, Fountain Square will host a full weekend of family friendly events from ice skating and bumper cars to live music. All events can be found on Cincinnati experience dot com. So check it out soon and make your plans for joining in on the fun. Thank you. Let's go Bengals and up next is Commissioner Reece for more information. Thank you. That is our new official greeting for, for Hamilton County. Um, I just want to thank the mayor after Kansas city Big win. I called him that night and said, hey, we've got to, we've got to do this big and at that time we were looking at, how do we have a potential watch party inside of paul Brown Stadium and what that did was show all of the county coming together where I have people, young, old, different races, different ages. They were so excited about it and well, I still think that's a good idea, but the NFL said we cannot do it in our publicly funded paul Brown Stadium. But what we can do is what's happening today. So the kickoff starts today inside paul Brown Stadium with the pep rally. It allows her fans to come in at no charge. They're able to come inside of paul Brown Stadium, be a part of this experience. Some people going to paul Brown Stadium for the first time. We've waited 31 years and I said, we gotta go big, we gotta go big or go home. And many of, you know, I've been the Deputy Director of Tourism for the state of Ohio. So I'm always got the sales hat on. How do we sell it? And so today we kick off inside of Paul Brown Stadium. I'm excited about that with national attention, national tv. Uh, it kicks off today and we go all week long here in Cincinnati with all of our partners, which we always, we're gonna have those events. We just wanted to make sure that we coordinated and we're doing that together. Uh, there's a video out with the mayor. Uh, no more. Why why not? Us? It is us, it is us and as joe burrow has said, get used to it. This is a new attitude. And so I'm very excited about that. We have a website, uh, experience Cincinnati Also, I got a text from the convention and visitors bureau where they will be able to list all of the local businesses that will be open and available. And yes, we want people in bars and restaurants, but we also want the vendors. I mean, I've seen people out in Chevy and I've seen people out in kenwood, they're out there, they're licensed vendors. They've got all your bengal wear. I've seen small businesses black owned, just released a new, uh, another new partnership with the Bengals in the NFL that just hit the scenes. So this is, I've seen a toaster, a bengal toaster. I mean, this is about small businesses. Uh, no matter where you are, small businesses being able to benefit. I've seen a nail place, they got Bengal nails. This is what it's all about. That's the energy that we've got going on uh, in our region. And then when they come back, they'll have a incredible parade because I believe we're gonna win the Super Bowl. I know we're gonna win the Super Bowl. So we're excited to announce that it kicks off tonight at paul Brown Stadium with the pep rally and the fans, we got the greatest fans in the world and we go all week long with fountain Square Washington park, you name it. We've got it. The banks all throughout Hamilton County. Go to Shibuya, you'll see the new joe burrow street. So it's going all the way throughout the county. So I just want to thank the mayor and the vice mayor and my colleagues, President, Do Miss and Commissioner Driehaus. Uh, it's one Hamilton's county and the color, it's orange and black. Thank you. Commissioner Reece up, our next speaker wins the spirit award. President. Do Miss is all in on the Bengals and you may not notice this, but I did. Her glasses are orange head to toe, baby President Duma's, thank you for your leadership. Thank you so much for your support of these events President. Thank you so much. I had to take my glasses off because the energy in here is so, so strong. But anyway, it starts not tonight, but right now and so, um, I thank the mayor for inviting us. Um, and realizing, uh, even more so than I've ever known that were in part were part of a county. Um, and people have been calling me like, I don't live in Cincinnati. I live in a tiny town or what, So we know that. So it's about 500,000 people that live outside of the city of Cincinnati. So thank you so much for including us. So, um, give me a B believe, give me an e enlightenment. That extraordinary was e I was I was ready for tonight, but I thought I'd do it now. So give me an n never before ever, you know, the next letter, give me a g groundbreaking. Give me an amazing, give me an L here's ill legendary. Give me an s Super Bowl. Where are we going? Super Bowl. Yes, I have it better tonight. I told you she won the spirit award. Commissioner Driehaus is up next. What am I going to say that? I was wondering about L though, I'm like, I think this is a prompt for somebody I don't know who, but anyway, not me. So hey, you know, look, we're super excited, so excited about the team, so excited about the energy throughout the region, as has been said in the, in the urban core here, there's so much going on outside the core throughout the county. There's all street renaming and parties and people are just getting fired up. And so I just want to thank the mayor for his initiative here for, you know, we need to, as we all know, we need to let the press know what's going on so we can stop getting those text messages and john uh, here's what's going on. We've, we've got the rally tonight. We've got events all week, both at Washington park and Fountain Square and it's pushed down the banks. You know, the Dora was set up for this very kind of event with a big screen and people going from place to place with their beverages. It's gonna be great. And there's something for everybody which I think, you know, this partnership with the Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Chamber of Commerce, the city, the county has really allowed us to think broadly about what we're offering to the citizens by way of celebration both before and after this game. So something for everybody down on the banks downtown, everybody everywhere throughout the county. So today, and I'm looking forward to continuing to celebrate with all of you. All right, I forgot to say one other thing. Book your rooms. We've got rooms available in our hotels. It is valentine's weekend. What a great weekend to come here. I got some calls from people in Athens saying they might come down so people you can get on our website with the Convention Visitors Bureau, book your room come on and be a part of this because we've got bengal fans both in Hamilton County and throughout the world. So if you can't make it to California, you can come join us here with all the activities and the fun. Alright. And last but not least, my partner here at City Hall, Vice Mayor Carney, thank you. Hey, I just want to say the Super Bowl is in L. A. But all eyes, the eyes of the world will be right here in Cincinnati. So we want Cincinnati to show off its secret weapon and that's you, the people of Cincinnati. So come on out, We're gonna party, we're gonna celebrate. We're gonna cheer the Bengals onto victory. So who'd a There we go. Strong finish. Alright with that. We will take your questions. Yeah, john you have a question. That's shocking. Yeah, sure. No wonder you know first is that in the Yeah, yeah, we are going to win the Super Bowl and so we, along with the Bengals and the NFL, our city and county partners in addition to the festivities for Super Bowl Bowl week, which both with all of us agree, starts now kicks off with the pep rally. Tonight goes through the week, thursday, friday, saturday sunday with events. Of course. That also includes a Super Bowl parade. I've met several times with the city manager about the route. We've we've talked through with CPD about management of the crowds. So we are prepared, as far as timing is concerned, we are still working with our partners, but certainly early next week is a good target. Let anyone else chime in. I think he said the right thing. Um, as far as the county, I know there's areas in the county that also want to be involved. Like I told you the energy that we see in Cheviot and other places. So, uh, to that tune where other jurisdictions can partner and be a part of this. Uh, certainly, I think they're open to that and that's something that will be in partnership with the Mayor and the Bengals. I mean, look, you know, when we win the Super Bowl, the whole team will be there. Right. So I don't want to speak. I don't want to speak for the Bengals. You should, you should certainly ask the Bengals but the parade would be for the Bengals. I think it's I think it's safe to assume that the Bengals will be there for for you often. No work out. Yeah it was it was a group that pulled together quickly um of you know our partners, public private organizations Chamber of Commerce, three C. D. C. Um Convention and Visitors Bureau, a number of folks that you know pull all the way together at a quick time and I know that the mayor's office was leading that his deputy chief of staff it was kind of leading those logistical air areas and then the thing became how do you market it and put it all in one place. So since now the experienced stepped up we've got video now. I mean all this was pulled together and shout out to all the partners in a very short time but at the same time again we are going to be in paul Brown Stadium were in there tonight. Uh and so we're partnering with the Bengals on that so everything kind of came together and you just saw people say whatever I can do I'm willing to do and I think that's the biggest thing tearing down all silos and we got one mission and that colour is orange and black. Okay sorry the tickets are being managed by the Bengals in the NFL and they are sold out unfortunately. But I think there's ample opportunities for people to, to stream it or, or watched on tv and will provide those details to you. You know, the other, the other thing that I wanted to touch on is this is a, a incredible opportunity for the Cincinnati region to tell the world what we're all about. I wanted to emphasize Vice Mayor Carney's comments. The eyes of the world are on us. Uh, and we've got an incredible story to tell about the, the, the innovation that's happening here. The excitement, the growth as I've said before. If you can live and work anywhere, I want you to choose Cincinnati and this week will be all about giving people a good reason to not just visit Cincinnati, but to move here, to stay here, to raise their family here. It's an opportunity for us to show off to the world what we're all about. And I'm so incredibly excited to be a part of that On the tickets. Can I just clarify, I want to get on the tickets, they are free, they're free tickets and there's 30,000. So 30,000 people will be inside the stadium and they were free. I just wanna make sure people know there was no charge for tonight, six o'clock. Yeah, I just wanted to say and this seems very simple, but when you have a shared vision, you can do anything. And so I really thank Mike Brown and the Bengals. I thank Mike Brown for bringing together this great team. I thank the Bengals for their performance and I also thank them for providing the distraction from all the things that are going on in our land with this virus and everything. So people have become unified and so if we can do it for this, we can do it for everything I believe. Sure. Yeah. Right. Mhm. Mhm. Okay. Yeah. Mhm. What? Yeah, we, we've been very strategic and intentional about creating zones for for both families, for people who are younger and from the, from Findlay market to Fountain Square to the banks to Newport on the levee. So no matter where you are, you'll find a comfortable place to, to watch the game. We're encouraging everybody to patronize our local bars and restaurants, particularly if you want to get out of the cold. But look john the, the excitement, the optimism for this historic team, the Cincinnati swagger, We're confident people that'll keep people warm information cards. Yeah, So uh dr moore will be our health commissioner will be following up with a press release and the media advisory about not only useful tips for our Cincinnati fans here in our community, but also for fans traveling to L. A. What the local rules are for fans, both outside and inside of establishments like economic. Yeah, the chamber is already tracking that. Um I just saw an article in the business career, I think earlier this week about all of the organic attention that is already being paid to Cincinnati and our brand is already worth millions. So there is there is a significant economic impact to our region because of the success of this team. So we we are incredibly grateful to the Bengals for that. But that is also part of what is catalyzing this extraordinary coordination. Because this is a golden opportunity to brag about all of the incredible things going on in Cincinnati. And that opportunity was created by this team. Thank you Alton here. Yeah, absolutely. That, look, the region is under new management so we're happy we're happy to oblige. So on three. Right? 123. All right. Thanks guys, appreciate it. Before you, can we get a pitcher Denise? Can we get a picture? Uh Madam President? Can we get a picture? Get a picture? Yes. Should we get in front of the thank you.
