Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow broke former Bengals and current Chicago Bears quarterback Andy Dalton's single-season record for most passing yards by a Cincinnati QB - 4,293 yards, set in 2013 - with a 17-yard pass to receiver Tyler Boyd in the second quarter.
Burrow threw a touchdown pass to receiver Ja'Marr Chase on the next play - their second connection for a score in the Bengals' 34-31 win against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 17 at Paul Brown Stadium.
Burrow threw his third TD pass of the game to Chase early in the third quarter. He threw his fourth TD pass of the game in the fourth quarter to Tee Higgins.
The TD passes to Chase and Higgins gave Burrow 34 for the season, breaking Dalton's single-season record of 33 - also set in 2013.
Burrow finished the game with 446 passing yards, eclipsing the 300-yard mark for the sixth time this season.
Burrow entered Sunday with 4,165 passing yards this season. He passed for a career-best 525 yards in last week's 41-21 win against the Baltimore Ravens.
Dalton was the Bengals' starting quarterback from 2011 to 2019. The Bengals' best record during that time was 11-5 in his franchise-record-setting season of 2013.
