George Lopez had fans worried after he walked offstage in the middle of a New Year's Eve comedy show but is now "recuperating," a representative for the comedian confirms to USA TODAY.
The Grammy-nominated Lopez, 60, "performed for about 45 minutes" at the Muckleshoot Casino Resort in Auburn, Washington, Friday afternoon "before he had to excuse himself," Lopez's rep explains.
According to TMZ, an ambulance was seen pulling up at the venue but he "did not go to the hospital," the rep says, adding that paramedics treated him on site.
An eyewitness told TMZ the comedian began to look visibly ill before leaving in the middle of his show. In a short video clip obtained by TMZ, Lopez can be seen onstage apologizing: "I'm sorry, I'm sorry … I just …"

On Friday evening, the Muckleshoot Casino Resort announced the cancelation of Lopez's night show on Twitter and their official website.
"It is with sincere apologies and regret that we must announce the cancellation of the 8 p.m. New Year's Eve performance by George Lopez," the announcement read. His performance was rescheduled to Friday, March 18.
The actor's rep told USA TODAY that he is back in his Los Angeles home "recuperating from a case of the flu."
Despite the New Year's Eve incident, Lopez has been active and posting on Instagram.
Over the weekend, he paid tribute to the late Betty White, who died Dec. 31, sharing a clip from an interview with the actress on his former talk show "Lopez Tonight."
"You know you’re loved when the entire world feels like 99 years just isn’t enough💔💔" Lopez wrote of White. "Your light is too bright to ever be dimmed. Thank you for the years of laughter and comedic genius, you will be dearly missed. 🙏🏽🤍🕊"
