When to expect severe weather in Cincinnati; tornadoes possible


A potent storm and unseasonably mild temperatures will combine to bring severe weather to the Cincinnati area overnight Friday into Saturday morning.Throughout the day Friday, it will be quiet with some mainly light showers, mist or even drizzle developing throughout the day. Temperatures will rise through the evening and night reaching the 60s by midnight.The threat for severe weather will be greatest from around 1 a.m. to 7 a.m. Saturday, but could linger with a few storms as late as 10 a.m. in our eastern communities. Tornadoes and damaging wind gusts will be possible. Away from storms, it will be windy with gusts up to 40mph late Friday night and into Saturday. Be sure to have a way to receive warnings.Temperatures will fall into the 40s as the rain ends Saturday afternoon. Gusty winds will make it feel even colder. Cincinnati should be dry by noon for City Flea, the Crosstown Shootout, and most of SantaCon Saturday night. Lows will fall into the mid-to-upper 20s Saturday night.It will be cold Sunday morning as sunshine returns for excellent football weather between the Bengals and 49ners with highs in the mid-to-upper 40s.
