Lakota West defensive back Jyaire Brown will be officially honored as a 2022 All-American during a virtual jersey presentation Wednesday as part of the 13th episode of the Road to the Dome digital series.
Brown will play in the 22nd All-American Bowl as part of the annual East vs. West matchups in the Alamodome, San Antonio, Texas. The Bowl will be nationally televised on NBC and will feature the nation's top 100 high school football players. Brown was selected by the All-American Bowl Selection Committee, consisting of the All-American Bowl and 247Sports.
Each All-American is eligible for the All-American Bowl Player of the Year Award, the Anthony Munoz Lineman of the Year Award, the Defensive Player of the Year Award, the All-American Bowl Man of the Year and the All-American Bowl MVP.
Brown was a first-team All-Ohio selection by both the media and the Southwest Ohio Football Coaches Association as a junior in 2020. This fall, he helped Lakota West win a league title and reach the Division I regional championship game.
Brown was named the Division I Southwest District and Greater Miami Conference Player of the Year. The Ohio State commit registered five interceptions and a pair of fumble recoveries. On offense, Brown had 26 receptions for 416 yards and four scores and had a pair of punt return touchdowns.
The episode featuring Brown's virtual jersey presentation will be released Wednesday night at 8 p.m. on the NBC Sports YouTube channel. The Road to the Dome Tour will honor all 100 All-Americans with virtual jersey presentations during a 15-episode series that will be released weekly through various digital and social platforms across NBC Sports.
Brown's Lakota West teammate, lineman Tegra Tshabola, also an Ohio State commit, received his All-American Bowl jersey in September.
