What will the weather look like during Thanksgiving this year?

After a brief period of warmer weather this week, temperatures will continue to drop to more winter-like conditions next week around Greater Cincinnati as Thanksgiving Day approaches.

Around Cincinnati, the National Weather Service is predicting a 40% chance of rain on Thanksgiving Day. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy with a high around 55.

Monday and Tuesday, highs and lows during the day in portions of the Ohio Valley and Midwest could be 10 to 20 degrees below normal and the combination of cold temperatures and "gusty winds could make for some unpleasant wind chills" during Thanksgiving week.

According to the NWS, there's also the potential for a "significant" storm to affect the east next week, with possible moderate-to-heavy rainfall on or around Thanksgiving Day across portions of the Lower Mississippi Valley.

Cold air could also bring light snow down from the lower Great Lakes and in westward-facing terrain from the central Appalachians.
