Horizon League Men’s Basketball Championship: NKU gets first-round bye

The brackets were released Saturday for the 2022 Keeps Horizon League Men's Basketball Championship, with the finals to be held March 8 at Indiana Farmers Coliseum.

The Northern Kentucky University Norse earned the No. 3 seed, and the bye that comes along with it.

NKU has an overall record of 18-11, and are 14-6 in the Horizon League, including ending the season going 12-2.

Cleveland State earned the No. 1 seed, with Purdue Fort Wayne the No. 2 seed.

With a bye to the quarterfinals, the Norse will hos the second-highest remaining seed on Thursday at 7 p.m. at BB&T Arena.
