Daylight saving time goes into effect this weekend
And don't forget: Starting this Sunday at 2 a.m., you'll need to set your clocks back one hour.
Daylight saving time begins on the second Sunday of March each year and ends on the first Sunday of November.
The Department of Transportation, which is in charge of daylight saving time, says the practice saves energy, prevents traffic accidents and reduces crime. However, sleep experts say the health consequences of losing sleep from daylight saving outweigh its value.
In fact, 19 states have enacted legislation or passed resolutions to provide for year-round daylight saving time. Read more on daylight saving time below.
