CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Organizers of the Taste of Cincinnati announced the Best of Taste Awards and unveiled details of a new 5K and a Zero Hunger Zero Waste plan.
The Eat & Run 5K will take place Sunday, May 26 at 10 a.m. It will start and end at Sentinel and Culvert Streets. Along the route, runners and walkers can grab bite-size samples from the Best of Taste Winners. Participants will get a medal, t-shirt and a 26.2 brew from Marathon Brewing at the Taste of Cincinnati.
This year, the Taste of Cincinnati will give its extra food to The Shelterhouse which helps more than 200 homeless men and women.
Kroger and Taste organizers will work with restaurants and food trucks so that they use compostable paper products and utensils. They'll also have designated areas to break-down their cardboard which will be recycled.
