2 Cincinnati high school football teams top latest media poll

With one more regular-season game to go, the Ohio Sportswriter's Association released their penultimate high school football rankings Monday afternoon. The Greater Cincinnati area has two schools leading their divisions with Kings leading the state in Division II and Wyoming topping the heap in Division IV.

In Division I, St. Xavier slipped after a road loss at Cleveland St. Ignatius, 28-21. The Bombers dropped to No. 7, just ahead of Lakota West who faces arch-rival Lakota East on Friday. Moeller jumps back into the Top 10 with a dramatic overtime win over previous No. 1 Lakewood St. Edward. The Crusaders actually were the only local team to receive first-place votes.

Unblemished Kings leads the fray in Division II and has a shot at a 10-0 season with a win at Little Miami Friday. 

Badin stays No. 2 in Division III behind Chardon with a tight Greater Catholic League-Coed Division matchup at likewise unbeaten McNicholas.

Wyoming's unbeaten Cowboys host Madeira Friday as they attempt to go 10-0. They remain the Division IV leader with the Rockets of McNick at No. 5 and Clinton-Massie No. 6.

No Division V, VII or VII team from Greater Cincinnati made this week's polling.
