New restaurant opens near Findlay Market

There's a new restaurant open in northern Over-the-Rhine. Mighty Good: Meat n' Three opened its doors Friday, located at 1819 Elm Street near Findlay Market. It's a simple concept: southern food at a relatively affordable price. As its name implies, the new restaurant is a meat and three, meaning customers choose a primary meat and three sides. One meat and three will cost you $10.Meats range from garlic chicken to "Grandma's Meatloaf," with sides like macaroni casserole, fried okra, cornbread, butter beans and hominy grits. Family-style and vegetarian options are also available. Of course, there is also sweet tea and several seasonal cocktails. The students are immersed in a twelve-week program in which Mighty Good serves as the internship site.This program helps those with high barriers to employment begin meaningful careers in the restaurant industry.
